Our Electric Vehicle (EV) rapid charging point, Shell Recharge, aims to provide EV drivers with a convenient way to charge your electric car on-the-go - so you can relax, however far you are heading.
Recharge your EV
Shell Recharge is designed to work with most vehicle types that are currently on the road. Our chargers provide connections for CCS Type 2 connector for DC charging and IEC Type 2 connector for AC charging.

Paying for Shell Recharge is quick and easy. Simply link your credit card to your Shell Recharge account to start using Shell Recharge.

Shell Recharge is available at half of Shell’s service stations island-wide in Singapore, with more in various malls, offices, and other destinations. All Shell Recharge stations are accessible via the Shell Recharge mobile app.

Managing queues at 3 sites
To encourage all drivers to limit charging to an hour to increase availability of this charger for the next person in need, we will be conducting a pricing trial from 22 August 2024, 10AM, to 23 September 2024, 10AM, for the chargers at Shell Seletar Hills, Shell Macpherson and Shell Ang Mo Kio service stations.
After 60 minutes of standard-rate charging, there will be an additional fee of 30 cents per minute (up to a maximum cap of $25), on top of the standard per kWh rates.
Example:
- ≤ 60 mins: Standard per kWh charging rates
- 61 mins: Standard per kWh charging rates + $0.30 additional fee
- 150 mins: Standard per kWh charging rates + $25 additional fee cap
Why 60 minutes?
Experts recommend unplugging your EV at 80% state-of-charge for battery longevity, and most EVs achieve this within 60 minutes. From 80% to 100%, the rate of charging in vehicles will also slow down significantly. Charging within 60 minutes helps your battery too.

Charging Plan(s) Validity: Easily view the validity period of your charging plan directly within the app. Now you can stay informed about when your plan is set to expire.

EV-CHARGING USING 100% CERTIFIED RENEWABLE ELECTRICITY
Three Shell service stations located in Tampines, Pasir Ris and Lakeview will offer the fastest electric vehicle (EV) charging speed across service stations in Singapore, using electricity from 100% certified renewable sources locally, including the solar panels at the rooftop of these stations. The EV chargers can offer up to 150kW of charging speed.
