Shell has been in Singapore for 130 years, and its long history in Singapore began in Pulau Bukom. It is one of the largest foreign investors in the country. In Singapore, Shell owns and operates two marine terminals, namely, Shell Pulau Bukom and Pandan Distribution Terminal. All our marine terminals operate 24 hours a day and 7 days a week.

Pulau Bukom is home to Shell’s largest wholly-owned refinery, capable of producing 500,000 barrels a day.

Pulau Bukom Manufacturing Site

With the completion of the Shell Eastern Petrochemicals Complex in 2010, Bukom is now an integrated oil and petrochemicals site, with manufacturing facilities for fuels, lubricant base oils and specialty chemicals.

Pulau Bukom's Marine Terminal consists of 13 main jetties and one one Single Buoy Mooring (SBM). Twelve jetties are at Pulau Bukom Besar and one is at Pulau Ular, while the SBM is approximately two miles to the south of the island. Crude is mostly imported through the SBM and products move via submarine pipelines and ships that dock at the wharves.
