Shell in the community

Our vision is to continue playing a long-term, meaningful role in the community in line with our ambition to be a net-zero emissions energy company by 2050.

We have always focused on bringing lasting benefits to Singapore’s most valuable resource - her people. Our current social investment programmes focus on supporting Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) education, and developing startup in the smart, clean energy space.

Since the 1890s, our spirit of giving continues till even today. Many generations of Singaporeans have come to know our nation-wide programmes like the Shell Traffic Games.

MAKING A DIFFERENCE TO THE COMMUNITY

Volunteering is also an important way in which we engage our fenceline communities and give back in collaboration with our long-term community partners.

Shell SG Volunteers is Shell’s staff-led volunteering network through which our employees own and participate in outreach initiatives with our local communities, tying up with partners including Southwest Community Development Council (SWCDC), Lakeside Family Services (LFS), Institute of Technical Education (ITE) and AWWA. The aim of this network is to give our teams a space to come together and share time, skills and expertise by providing committed, needs-based support to the less privileged in our community.
