Shell NXplorers
Our flagship Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) education programme that aims to develop and equip youth with future ready skills like critical thinking, creative problem-solving, communication and collaboration skills.

Delivered in partnership with Science Centre, NXplorers involves Shell staff as mentors, and helps students prepare for the jobs of tomorrow. Since 2019, NXplorers has engaged with more than 700 Secondary School students in Singapore.
NXplorers uses a unique combination of three methodologies:
Integrating these approaches into one programme creates a new way of looking at global complexities, and shows young people how to approach the complex challenges the world faces, now and in the future.
Systems thinking
A framework for seeing the bigger picture rather than isolated fragments.
Scenario planning
Asks 'what if' questions to explore alternative views of the future and create plausible stories around them.
Theory of change
A methodology of thinking that imagines how and why a certain change is expected to happen.
Nidhin Neha, Shell NXplorers Singapore participant from Seng Kang Secondary SchoolNXplorers inspired me to think innovatively and learn to build solutions from the ground up. It also equipped me with practical tools that I know will help me in my future career.
Loh Chia Chang, Teacher, Bedok View Secondary SchoolWhat’s unique about NXplorers is that it provides students with valuable hands-on mentorship from Shell staff, and seed funding to turn their ideas into reality.
