Which payment methods are supported by Shell SmartPay?
Which payment methods are supported by Shell SmartPay?
Shell SmartPay currently only supports Visa and Mastercard payment. For other payment methods, please make your fuels payment instore.
How do I link/manage my payment card in Shell App?
How do I link/manage my payment card in Shell App?
You may manage your payment methods by accessing Account > Manage Payment Method
Steps:
- Select “Add New Payment Method”
- Select “Add Debit/Credit Card”
- Enter your Debit/Credit Card Details
- A One Time Password (OTP) code will be sent via SMS to your card registered phone number for authorization
- Enter the OTP code
Your Debit/Credit Card is successfully linked to your Shell App. You can now pay for your fuel using the app. You can also update your payment card in the “Manage Payment Method” section.
Will I be charged for the $2 tokenisation fee?
Will I be charged for the $2 tokenisation fee?
As you add your Debit/Credit Card into Shell App, a $2 tokenisation fee will be requested to authorize your card. This $2 tokenisation fee will not be charged.
How do I pay for my fuel using Shell Asia App?
How do I pay for my fuel using Shell Asia App?
Pay for your fuel from inside your vehicle by selecting “Shell SmartPay” at your Shell Asia App Homepage.
Steps:
- Check if the station detected is correct
- Enter the correct pump number
- Select your fuel amount
- Confirm your payment
- Upon payment confirmation, you should see “Pump is ready”
- Put your phone aside, switch off the engine and exit your vehicle
- Lift the pump nozzle, insert into your vehicle, and pull the trigger to start fueling
The fueling will stop automatically at the selected amount
After removing the pump nozzle from your vehicle, the transaction is completed.
What if my pre-set amount is more than the actual amount of fuel dispensed?

You will only be charged the actual amount of fuel dispensed. The excess amount will not be charged.
Can I use Shell SmartPay after I complete my refuelling?

Shell SmartPay uses a pre-authorisation payment process. If you have already completed your refueling without first using Shell SmartPay to pre-authorise your payment, you would unfortunately then have to proceed instore to make your payment with our cashiers instead.
Can my Shell SmartPay transaction earn Shell GO+ points and use my Shell GO+ rewards/offers?

All Shell SmartPay transactions will automatically earn Shell GO+ points, and you will be able to use your Shell GO+ rewards/offers during the Shell SmartPay transaction as well.
