Bukit View Secondary School was the proud champion for the ‘Food’ theme at the 2015 Shell-STEM Youth Innovation Challenge.

Shell believes STEM – Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths – holds the key for fulfilling society’s desire for development and sustainability. 

The Shell STEM Youth Innovation Challenge thus opens up an exciting avenue for students from diverse backgrounds to come together and showcase their creativity and innovation in science. It is organised by Shell and the Science Centre Singapore and has grown to become a key annual event in the school calendar.

The inaugural Shell STEM Youth Innovation Challenge 2015 tasked secondary students to build innovative solutions to the current challenges faced by society. The themes of choice were food, water, energy and eco-friendly materials. It started with 16 finalist groups, and boiled down to four teams who competed for the top spot under each theme. Four groups emerged as the overall champions for each theme.Refer to the Shell STEM Facebook Page to see the student’s progress and innovation.

Shell is fully committed to solving the issue of sustainability through a STEM-based solution, and has been inspiring future generations to challenge themselves and release their creativity with their STEM innovations.
