Shell V-Power tested with Vauxhall Vectra
This video demonstrates how Shell’s specially modified 1.8 litre GM Vectra is designed to test fuels using three separate fuel systems.
It explains how the vehicle is fed alternately by two separate fuels, whilst a third system flushes and stores the fuel once it has been discarded. All of these processes are monitored by an on-board computer system, enabling engineers to record engine speed, road speed, ignition timing and fuel performance. This gives them the data they need to accurately compare advanced fuels, such as Shell V-Power, against other market fuels.

Shell V-Power tested with Ford Mondeo
This video demonstrates how a specially modified 2 litre, 16-valve fuel-injected Ford Mondeo is able to test fuels using 2 separate fuel systems, backed up by a Motorola engine management system.
Thanks to this system Shell is able to compare the performance of different fuels on the road in real-time and focus on the cleansing benefits of advanced fuels, like Shell V-Power, against other typical market fuels.
