Adjustment in Retail Pump Prices at Shell Stations

16/04/2007

Pump prices at Shell stations will be increased by ten (10) cents for petrol and diesel with effect from 12:00pm on 16 April 2007.

SINGAPORE, 16 APRIL 2007 – Pump prices at Shell stations will be increased by ten (10) cents for petrol and diesel with effect from 12:00pm on 16 April 2007.

Since the last pump price reduction by Shell on 22 January 2007, internationally traded finished product prices have increased significantly by over 20% in the past few months. Shell has held off passing on this increase in product costs for as long as we could, but we have to do so now.

On top of the new prices, Shell continues to offer a current prevailing site discount* of 9% for mogas and 10% for diesel, plus Shell Escape points on the nett fuel purchases at our 68 stations island-wide.

Motorists can check the transparent nett prices (after discount) they can expect to pay for both petrol and diesel at the price boards located at all our stations and on our website www.shell.com.sg.  They can also call our Customer Service Centre Hotline at 1800 261 5322 for more information.

Note to Editor:
* This is the prevailing discount rate at time of issue of this release and is subject to change.
