Warning: SMS scam using Shell name
It has come to Shell's attention that Short Messaging System (SMS) text messages are being sent to people informing recipients that they have won prizes from Shell. Typically, the SMS informs recipients that they have won a cash prize.
Please ignore the SMS and do not reply to it. Shell Singapore does NOT use text messages to communicate with our contest winners.
Please note that all winner announcements for contests run by Shell are advertised in the media and will be available on the Shell Singapore website - www.shell.com.sg. Winners will also receive a phone call informing them of their win by Shell or a Shell appointed agency.
Shell's agency will need to verify the winner's name, NRIC and address for the prizes to be sent to, or collected by, the winners. Shell does NOT require any bank account numbers, etc. If ever in doubt, when receiving such an SMS or phone call, please do check the Shell Singapore website to ensure that you are indeed a Shell contest winner.
